Katie Doherty

I grew up in Kamloops and earned my Bachelor of Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University. After working in the marketing and events space for 2 years, I knew that wasn’t the right fit for me and I chose to move to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to obtain my Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan.

In 2022, after surviving three years of prairie winters, I knew I wanted to return to British Columbia, specifically the Okanagan, and start my legal career. I articled and then worked at Glazier Polley Barristers and Solicitors until the merge with Touchstone Law Group LLP in 2026.

I’ve maintained a broad practice in mainly residential real estate, estate planning and administration, and civil and family litigation. I work to find solutions for my clients that help them avoid the time and stress that often comes with having to take a matter to court. I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the law, including learning and understanding new developments that allow me to offer helpful solutions to my clients.

Outside of the office, you can find me skiing up at Big White, reading a good book, or enjoying one of the many beaches or hiking trails that the Okanagan has to offer.
